2018 Melliferopolis Calendar of Activities – updated regularly:

The Other Side audio space at the cemetery of Poblenou in Barcelona is extended until the end of the year 2018. Welcome to wonder and wander along the labyrinth-like cemetery and listen to the bee related literature face to face with other winged creatures, angels!   The Other Side audio space is part of Beehave exhibition by Fundación Miró in Barcelona.

On Saturday, 29th September, The BCN Honey Fest celebrates it’s 2nd edition in Raval, Barcelona. The Other Side is invited to the Festival program and and can be visited from 11-16 at a Monastery of Sant Pau del Camp, a heritage site from 11th century. Course: Introduction to Beekeeping and Bee Ecology at ARBIS, September – December 2018.
Appreciated for their valuable products and their pollination services, honeybees are special companions to humans. The course explores the background of modern beekeeping, the products of the hive and ecological aspects around honeybees.

The course explores city beekeeping, the basics of handling bees and their hives and practical work during the warm season. It is linked to the autumn course ”Introduction to Beekeeping and Bee Ecology” and comprises two practical afternoon visits to the beehives in the Kaisaniemi Botanic Garden, Helsinki.  2.6 and 16.6, Saturday 13:00
